Description

Diboson production at the LHC provides a powerful probe of the electroweak sector and possible deviations from the Standard Model within the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). We present a study of the interplay between dimension-6 SMEFT operators and gauge boson polarization in $WZ \rightarrow 3\ell$ production at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$.

The analysis is based on dedicated Monte Carlo event samples generated with \textsc{MadGraph}, enabling a controlled investigation of different polarization configurations and EFT contributions. We perform a systematic comparison between Standard Model and SMEFT predictions using a broad set of kinematic and angular observables, with particular emphasis on polarization-sensitive variables and their discriminatory power.

In addition, we investigate analysis strategies aimed at enhancing sensitivity to EFT effects, including multivariate techniques that exploit correlations among observables. These methods provide complementary information to traditional analyses and offer guidance for optimized polarization measurements.

This work demonstrates the potential of polarization observables as sensitive probes of EFT effects and contributes to the development of analysis frameworks for future precision studies at the LHC.
