WP7 ET Cryogenics and Vacuum industry event preparation

Practical info and logistics

• 21-22 April, starting at midday on the 21^st.
• Main session in Building 30, CERN to book an additional room for a parallel session if necessary.
• 30 rooms blocked in CERN Hostel for 21-23 April.
• 1 coffee break on 21 April, 1 coffee break on 22 April. CERN to arrange, WP7 to investigate the money that we still have in the project
• Dinner: agreed to organise something, for networking purposes.
• Action: CERN to investigate overall costs (including shuttles) and calculate the fee we could ask.
• Action: CERN to create Indico site, include payment section

Programme

• Agreed to incorporate cryogenics. Besides the initially proposed topics, materials (interface between cryostats and payloads) is an interesting topic, with knowledge spread across different institutes and industries.
• To think about distribution or not in parallel sessions. There are overlaps and topics common to cryogenics and vacuum (eg. cryopumps and cryotraps) so this division is not trivial.
• Action: Fulvio to contact other colleagues to get involved in the Cryogenics section of the event
• Action: Paolo, Antonio and Fulvio to complete Google Drive document with main challenges and possible speakers, as well as topics from which we want feedback from industry.
• Action: WP7 to analyse and suggest initial format of sessions to discuss in next meeting.
