In the large N limit, Yang-Mills theories undergo many simplifications, one of which is volume reduction. Under certain assumptions, colour and space-time degrees of freedom become intertwined at large N, enabling the non-perturbative dynamics of gauge theories to be extracted through numerical simulations on a one-site lattice. In this talk, I will first provide a brief introduction to the concept of volume reduction. Then, I will present our recent results regarding the meson spectrum and low-energy constants in large-N QCD, obtained on a single-site lattice with a number of colours as high as N = 841. I will also discuss how this setup can be combined with standard finite N results to reliably obtain subleading 1/N corrections to various quantities.
