Description

Abstract

A radiation-resistant LED-based flashing light has been developed to address the increased beam luminosity of the HL-LHC and the obsolescence of the current Xenon units. The new design uses standard off-the-shelf electronic components and a simple architecture to ensure both cost efficiency and radiation tolerance.
This EN Technical Meeting will present the overall development strategy, provide detailed information on the chosen electronic architecture, describe the component and system qualification processes, and outline the procurement strategy for the upcoming LS3.
