Virtual visit of the CMS Experiment

Europe/Zurich
Description

The organisers of Beamline for Schools (BL4S; https://cern.ch/bl4s) are glad to meet the teams interested in participating in the competition.

This event is powered by the CMS experiment at CERN (https://cms.cern/).

Discover the mysteries of the universe with CERN!
Join us for an exclusive virtual visit of the CMS Experiment, one of the largest and most complex detectors ever built. Explore the fascinating world of particle physics, learn how scientists study the building blocks of matter, and see where groundbreaking discoveries like the Higgs boson were made. All from your screen!

CMS Virtual Visits offer students, teachers and the general public a unique opportunity to explore the experimental site of the CMS detector. Through a web-based videoconference, CMS scientists explain the physics and technology behind the Experiment, show surface and underground areas and answer questions live.
