A thought about common definitions:

To improve clarity in the code, in discussions, as well as presentation material (eg web/DB interface where we can show numbers), it would be good if we can homogenize definitions.

Example (bottom-top):

• channels/pixels
• cells (aka FE ASIC), which aggregate channels
• modules (eg GBT or other aggregator..), which aggregate cells, and send data to backend through optical links
• opticals links to backend
• backend (eg FELIX/Serenity)
