      Beams and technology department
      - LHC is on track for the beam this year, in according to schedule

      Report on services from SCE department
      - Catering - yearly price increased applied according to contractual provisions, validated by IPT and CSR, index increase low this year, improvement of R1 with new tray cleaning area, VIP kitchen etc. R2 renovated, upgrade of kitchens, breakfast and lunch goes on as usual, VIP - adapted services, try to use R1 as much as possible. Smoking will be prohibited on the terraces between 12h and 14h. Increased number of vending machines and increased turnover, 20% of water fountains replaced and number of fountains increased in 2024. New mini-marked to be opened, where the post office used to be, uniqa will move to the old travel agency space, temporarily moved to b55 during work. Various pilots: Smart fridge remains operational, Click and Delivery not so much used but very good feedback, investigation ongoing. Party and misconduct in R2, privat events needs to be declared by form.
      Food waste wieighing campaign, not to go over 45 gr per meal and this is achieved
      - Record occupancy of CERN rooms, all time record broken in July, Hope that more people use the web-booking. Cancelled reservations close to 30%, increasing. 50% book more than 1 months in advance. Waiting lists more than 50% converted. Groups and blocks are about 30% of the room bookings,. Quite a large number of released rooms. Rooms will be released differently now. Fully booked hotels does just mean that all rooms are blocked. Possible pilot on blocking rooms for shifters, for instance 5 rooms. Laundry rooms will be renovated, a number of improvements of the rooms will be made including replacing mattresses in B39.

      MPE Boooking rule modifications, now people can stay 90 days around their contract starts and also 90 days before contract ends.

      School groups -> Booking 9 months in advanced, 2 groups max and no groups between 01/06 sand 30/8, max 10%, 55 room max allocated MO-Th
      Individual visitors-> Also changed 3 weeks in advance only Fri+Sun for a private visit to CERN
      Room prices increased 7% due to price index in Geneva increased 7.1% between 2007-2024, now apply index on yearly? Basis

      Discussion
      - Possibly to reserve rooms for shifters, possible new pilot, work to facilitate, also during the summer, to also be discussed with the experiments
      - Many users can only come over the summer, this is then very difficult to find accommodation
      - Not possible to stay in the hostel with a baby, need to go outside, any news?
      - R1 basement, the changing room unheated very cold in the winter

      - Improved working conditions for EP, including laboratories and offices, but also new cafeteria, learning centre, international relations sector, CERN directorate, new council room to be used also by other users. Were current EP is next tp magnet building, where old B102 was located

      Report on services from CERN IT department
      - Upgrades of conference room service + including George Charpak, in terms of video conference facilities
      - Zoom AI companion since January, for meeting minutes and summaries, not error-free needs to be validated, will evolve over time
      - E-mail service spoofing, less and less possible, what will stil be working is myself@cern.ch will work but myself@desy.de will not work from CERN??
      Label now available, similar to beurotel, assign dynamically desks for visitors, here it is one can book labs+, restricted to EP.
      - CERNBox, expiration time of editor public links will now be 3 months and possible to extend to 3 years for links.
      - WebDFS services consolidation, DFS storage phased out by December 2025, unused and abandoned websites, users will be encouraged to delet, others will be asked to move, .net websites solutions will be proposed in due time. Clean-up encouraged asap.
      - Sharepoint service commission, completed, thanks to all users for taking actions

      - Drupal will be replaced by WordPress in 2025 and finished by early 2026. Is supposed to be more manageable then Drupal
      - Mac Services, disc encryption will be enabled by default. A new CERN managed Mac management model will be introduced ofr Macs bought through EDH starting 2025 Q2. Opt out willl be possible dfor Macs bought though CERN but not owned by CERN. The current “Self service” will continue
      - Windows 10 will migrate to 11, HW was not ready to be upgraded, now needed. It is possible to keep Windows 10 for one more year
      - Microsoft Intone will replace CMS for centrally-managed machines
      - Computer Security 2FA is now operational 45 0000 accounts now use it. Next 2FA for LXPLUS and CERN TS, discussion ongoing for service accounts
      - EDH signature will be removed end of May 2025, will be replace to type some confirmation value such as document number or person ID or tick a checkbox
      - Account management changes password 15 characters minimum, will be effective Q2 2025, no end-date on the password, but notified if the password is compromised
      - Printers VLAN migration, printers will be moved to a dedicated private network, no direct printing possible, needs to use print service, it will be building by building starting 2025

      - Skype is phased out, alternatives for discussion outside of the CERN community, many moves to SLAC, CERN may then need to pay licence even if it says free for 5 people, it adds opp, better to stick to teams and Mattermost, question if Mattermost could be made available for lightweight accounts, this needs to be investigated
