Description
1. The installation of the new access and access safety system has been started. It is therefore a good time to update on status, planning and 1st practical experience with the parts already in operation.
2. The integration of the access system installation and commissioning into the planning of the experiments being a key issue, the presence of the planning officers of the experiments would be very desirable.
3. Following the comprehensive review of LHC safety systems on 14 Feb this year a small task force was created to translate the conclusions into practical recommendations. This group has agreed to give a 1st status report to LAAWG.
ACTION ITEMS
1) LACS/LASS
• Confirmation that budget for non-interlocked areas access control system now accepted (LS).
• In PM85 at present ~3000 transactions for access system (PN).
• SC (safety commission) to write report on non-interlocked area access.
• Situation of pressurized areas including access point (ATLA, CMS) not yet fully analyzed --> action by whom??
• PZ85 renovation planned for Sep 2007 for 3 wks.
• PX15 upgrade planned for Sep 2007. --> access organization during this period needs to be defined and put into place before.
• R. Nunes is responsible for access cards. --> reassess nbr of cards required for each experiment.
• Experiments requested to verify and update table with upper limit of persons per area.
2) Status from Safety system review
• Safety matrix in the experiments needs to be assessed.
NB: C. Schaefer has implemented L3 alarm logic in the L3 experiment --> could maybe serve as use case?
