Description
My presentation explores the latency compensation mechanism implemented
in QSFP28 100G coherent transceivers to actively compensate for internal
phase shifts and data mapping delays. By utilizing internal DSP
measurements and dynamic hardware correction, the module successfully
reduces latency variation to meet highest PTP requirements. We will
discuss how integrating such predictable, hardware-level static delay
compensation could open new pathways for White Rabbit development.
