Monthly developer catch-up on Rivet and related tools.

 

 

ACTIONS

Imminent Rivet/YODA releases:

• Jon to check Rivet release-4-1-x branch for compatibility with Contur release candidate before Rivet release
• Andy and Chris to release new Rivet and YODA in coming days
  • Chris to check if ATLAS analyses in pipeline are ready

 

Next major releases:

• Chris to reply to request for custom Data -> journal ref plot legend with proposed solution
• Jon/Contur to check Rivet/YODA main branches for compatibility, esp cf. plotting dictionary structure and keyword changes
• Andy to implement FinalState constructors with optional primary-particle cut, otherwise use FS == status=1;
  • test Cuts::ctau0 > 10*mm on known affected MB/UE analyses; merge branch, send to Louie/LLP experts for BSM feedback

Other:

• Chris to write up some notes on using CEDAR Docker images via Apptainer
• Andy to contact Andrzej for HepMC dev-plan statement
• All to spread the word about LHAPDF and Rivet-HI shortie positions to promising contacts
• Andy to discuss adding analytic electron PDFs to LHAPDF with Marek and Ilkka

 

Meetings

• Tomek to follow up with LLP community re. smearing with NN efficiency maps; maybe when the primary-particle system is merged to main?
• Tomek to investigate attending MCWG/MCnet meeting for Rivet summary + X
