Description

This Introduction Course covers the basics of the educational and outreach activities and how to become a CERN Guide, in the sense of:

  • Why become a CERN Guide?
  • Who can become a CERN Guide?
  • What training is offered to CERN Guides?
  • Guides training structure
  • What activities can CERN Guides take part in?
  • What resources are available?
  • How to sign up?
  • Who does what?


To become a CERN Guide, you need have an affiliation with CERN that has a total duration of at least 6 months (doesn't mean that you need to wait sic months when starting your contract). Most statuses of affiliation at CERN entitle to become a Guide, more info here in the Guides Rules: https://guides.web.cern.ch/documents.

This course is mandatory for new CERN Guides and those, who haven't joined it yet (since 2023).
