The magnetic system for the PTOLEMY experiment at LNGS

The PTOLEMY experiment, under development at the Gran Sasso National Laboratory (LNGS), aims to pioneer a new class of measurements targeting relic neutrinos through the detection of ultra low energy electrons. Achieving this ambitious scientific goal requires an exceptionally stable and precisely controlled magnetic environment. This seminar presents the design, implementation, and performance of the PTOLEMY magnetic system, a key component enabling efficient electron transport, energy selection, and background suppression.
