Speaker: Roberto Piandani (Univ. Autonoma de San Luis Potosi)

Last Friday we filled with H2 our CEDAR and since Monday morning we are commissioning it (mostly completed).

All the other detectors are ready to start the physics run.

Waiting the commissioning of the CEDAR during the week end and part of next week we took some data in dump mode configuration ( thanks to Johannes for the setup and the help)

      • d) NA64
Speakers: Laura Molina Bueno (Univ. of Valencia and CSIC (ES)), Vladimir Poliakov (Millennium Institute for Subatomic Physics at High Energy Frontier (CL))
      • e) NA61
Speaker: Bartosz Maksiak (National Centre for Nuclear Research (PL))
        • Beam has been commissioned by Nikos (thanks!)
        • We are waiting for vacuum modifications
        • After, we install our beam detectors and start tuning our trigger and beam. During beam tuning we will check DWC efficiencies. Question to Nikos/BI: can we modify the support structure of DWC2? The modification is to add a possibility to move the chamber in horizontal axis.
        • Magnets has been recommissioned today before lunch
        • Liquid hydrogen target system ready (i.e. vacuumized and waiting for flushing with helium and then filling with hydrogen)
        • Last reactions to be sent to Safety in order to obtain the Safety Clearance
        • Filling target with hydrogen planned by Friday

        Issues

        • We would like to monitor atmospheric conditions nearby CEDAR. We have a sensor to install, but it requires power. However, it looks like none of sockets in PPE132 is powered.
        • There is a kind of oil leak over 887/R-B59. It drops to our equipment. It might come from the ventilation unit above (CW2-00322).
      • f) CLOUD
        Speaker: Antti Onnela (CERN)

The excellent news of having access to T11 in autumn 2026 for executing the CLOUD19 physics run (with cosmics) was shared with the CLOUD collaboration.

Detail run plans were discussed and sharpened during CLOUD collaboration meeting held in 2-6 March at Goethe University Frankfurt.

Run preparations are on-going. No specific details or issues to report.

      • g) GIF++
        Speaker: Paolo Martinengo (CERN)

Extension of the bunker progressing but slower than planned: 4-5 days delay

Still acceptable, some work inside the bunker can be postponed but DSO test March 26,

week before VF intervention (irradiator maintenance)

Issue with the gas pipes reworking, order close to 50k threshold, order is delayed

Possible to run with the present infrastructure and postpone to September/October
