ECOI group weekly
Room 42/1-018
Quick notes:
Communication meeting @FCC week: 4 talks are in the pipeline (12+3 minutes each) followed by a 1/2h long discussion.
- "Carte blanche" to the CERN ECO group on the institutional communication
- ECOI talk concentrating on internal communication (inreach). Time will be shared with the ECR group
- "Bigger picture talk" by Johannes Gutleber, who agreed to cover his recent publising experience
- An "inspirational talk" on the impact of AI and chatbots on outreach is being put together
Claire spoke last week with Antoine Mayoux, who oversees the "debat public" and other related topics within the Project Office. A special introduction (pedagogical) session will take place the day before ours. We are all invited and a talk on that subject is thus not needed in our session. Same for environement, that will be discussed the day after.
Panos confirms that no other plenary session on communication is foreseen. It could be that the ECO group does not have much "concrete deliverables" to show yet. In that case the talk will simply be made shorter or will focuss on explaining "who does what" to the audience, given that the new organisation was not presented yet.
The question of the FCC chatbot is raised: Patrick heared that it stays within the Project Office, and Claire will speak next week with PO to understand better the next steps.
New Web site tour:
- Infographics would be welcome, building on the quick "open circle screeshots" used by Claire for now. The first use case is the contact form, by analogy to ATLAS
- Patrick has a long list of links to MoU related documents to add. This could become a new page or be merged with the current https://fcc-global-collaboration-working-group.web.cern.ch/ web site. Claire is in touch with Emmanuel Tsemelis to figure out the plans for this (Drupal) web site.
- Before opening the PED site fully and pushing it up in google we need a proper contact form, able to stop chatbots. Material exists in the wordpress infrastructure, implementing is will be one of the first tasks of the tech student that arrives on May 4rth.
A formal call for comments and working sessions with the coordinators will be organised as soon as the Tech student arrives, as he will be in charge with the modifications.
