XRootD 6.0

• Will add support for tokens with storage.stage and storage.poll.

One File, Many Hashes: The New Alternative Checksums Feature

• Enables the calculation and storate of multiple hash types for a single file.
• Can be used with CTA, but needs to be performed synchronously (before data is evicted from disk.).

EOS File Notifications

• This can be used to send notifications to FTS/Rucio/etc when a file is archived or retrieved. Reduces the need for polling, which has been a long standing problem.
• Could also be used for other purposes (eg. monitor file deletions).
• We need to validate if it can work directly for all CTA workflow events.

I/O Shaping in EOS

• Bandwith can be limited on EOS.
• This could be used to avoid disk buffer overflows in a much more graceful way.
