Past week:
- Continued with excavation of non-radioactive soil evacuation (working in the area between B. 198 and B. 170
- Pre-construction of the niche for the GPS camera finalized.
- Intallation of liner in the storage pit
- Sprinckler system installation (dust management).
- Covering of GPS/HRS radioactive soil areas
- Testings cleaning procedure for excavation machines
- Cleaning of shielding blocks on top of the GPS dump before handling
This Week:
- Core drilling for the camera niche
- Radioactive soil removal to reach the level 440.5 m.
- Cleaning of blocks in dedicated tent (tests)
- Handling of blocks on top of the GPS dump

Ventilation primary areas upgrade 5mSpeakers: Joachim Vollaire (CERN), Melania Averna (CERN)
- Outside work for pipe/duct work for EN-CV finalized (insulation in place)
- Until mid-April, SCE-SAM will build the lateral protection wall for the ducts and prepare the area for the final shielding construction (needed for stray radiations) which will be included in the IBDRS phase 2 project.
- Ongoing work inside Build. 197
- Commissioning and reception of the new ventilation system expected Week 17
- 20/03 craning planned for equipment delivery
- Will communicate the date for the re-connection of the turnstile for access (requested to be done during the coming week).

RILIS Laboratory upgrade project - activities update 5mSpeakers: Carlotta Porzio (CERN), Katerina Chrysalidis (CERN), Laura Lambert (CERN), Sebastian Rothe (CERN)
- STI
- Dust protective plastic layer has started being installed - SSP area priority
- Patch panel has been shifted, a new frame will be built to secure it in place more than just zipties
- If people like this new more accessible location, we could consider keeping it there in the long term
- Clean up of roof either this coming Friday or Monday
- New frame to be built by HRS door to hold cables, this will not obstruct the opening to the separator area
- HRS door has been removed and the same lock cylinder has been taken from this door and placed in the second door through the chicane - so the key for access remains the same
- Preparation and removal of lead hopefully next week
- EN/EL
- Decabling and suspension has finished below the barrack (minus a few cables through the I-beam which we will hopefully remove when dismantling via some screws)
- Cable on roof to be shifted from wed-fri this week
- Antenna on roof is dismantled
- Integration
- SCE contribution including new platform design, cross-beam shifted to new position, and re-positioning of primary beam next to BI rack to be updated with 3D model to be done today/tomorrow latest

- Final pipe removal for inside the lab technical visit today

- Needs to be replaced by flexible line due to access restrictions
- Cannot find isolating valve, therefore will need to cut compressed air to the entire hall

Machine related activities in the experimental hall 10mSpeakers: Erwin Siesling (CERN), Simon Mataguez (CERN)
Platform EPC:
- Interconnections racks / patch panels ongoing. Old racks removed (except last: holds the vertical cable tray. To be replaced by pillar(s)).
- Existing HT cable bundles being pulled up.
- 2 blue doors recuperated (under stairs) for the remaining short row of blue racks (2 doors missing).
- Modification of false floor: leave certain width in front of remaining blue racks (remaining cables). Who will modify?
- Expected delay 3 weeks (?)
REX/HIE ISOLDE preparations CM1 transport:
- All top-plate services dismounted (SRF cabling (done by Mathieu Therasse with Daniel not available - many thanks) + tuner plates & coupler motors, instrumentation cabling, etc. (Mathieu Therasse).
- Water and DC for the correctors XLN02 & 03 .0200 (Alexandre Cretin) disconnected.
- This week: Cryo dismounting work on roof and top-plate (removal flexibles, structure, protection burst discs, etc.).
- Next week:
Remaining vacuum (XLN03 vacuum chamber connections), BI cables disconnection,
Thursday/Friday 26/27 March: Handling intertanks XLN02 & 03 from machine into the hall/wooden storage box.
To be verified: by BI if Intertank units XLN02 & 03 fit in the wooden box. Check with Transport and VSC if small TPs can stay connected. - Discussions on Radiological aspects (mainly for the work in SM18) started: OP will provide the list of isotopes 2015-2025 to RP (Fabio Pozzi) (this week). Isotopes of interest will be identified by RP, OP will then estimate the amount of those particular isotopes seen by the CMs (as per CM4 refurbishement in LS2). Meeting date to be organised next week to discuss between SRF, RP, RP transport and OP.

- Week 16 (13-17 April):
Opening/closing Tunnel roof & CM1 handling in the hall - handling tools and vehicles (cherry picker, etc.), heavy use of the overhead crane
Wall Jura side to be clear of cupboards and toolboxes (access wall top side)
CM1 will be standing from 15 - ~23 April in the handling zone next to the yellow RP buffer zone: vibration and inclination sensors + wrapping for transport - Week 17 (20- 24 April):
Transport CM1 from ISOLDE 170 to SM18 - special transport (truck & trailer) arriving ~23/24 April (tbc). Heavy use of the overhead crane during handling in the 170 hall (CM1 onto pendulum/trailer).
SAS and handling zone to be empty (users will be informed). Parkingt to be empty (IBDRS project been informed) - RILIS planning kept in the loop (Carlotta Porzio), ISOLTRAP planning kept in the loop (Arthur Jaries)
Planning REX/HIE: 170 REX HIE planning | Document 3383102 (v.1)
(remaining question from last week) ISOLDE Hall cooling water (27 degrees users Low E side. HIE side: no cooling water):- CV is facing difficulties with the demineralization as well as general functioning of the hall (Low E user side) cooling water: Decided to stop the system if not needed and collect information for cooling water needs. Restart time and resources will be significant.. Small loads (several kWs) can run on circulating in the circuit without full system operational - load to be defined.
- ISO-House ask around:
- REXEBIS: Not until after summer
- CRIS mid-April till mid-May (for lasers and TP's) -> chilled water/AC in the laser room 508 will stay available.
Work in he 170 HT room:
- Julien Parra-Lopez: Replacement of the GPS and HRS target heating power supplies. Request for handling in week 16 of a few pallettes up to the HT room: To be well coordinated with transport around the CM1 activities (roof opening/closing and CM1 handling in the hall).
Beamlines:
- RC6 EN/EL cabling work starting next week for 1 week+. No clash to be expected with other activities. VIC done.

ISOLTRAP:
- Platform replacement preparations: VITO laser tube (high section) and tall pillar removal to be organised (Transport / VITO users?)
- Emergency wall cutting/carrotage: Preparations mezzanine side done: Power outlets moved, ground cable and ethernet rerouted. Order launched with the contractor. BC still needed for material and work-order for the ISOLTRAP platform itself (Severin d'Armancourt). Wall cutting either early April wk14 or 15 (Easter) or end of April/ beginning of May (due to the need of the overhead crane it needs to be outside CM1 handling dates).
ISS:
- He filling done
- Connection to diesel network (James Devine) -> planned for 24 March
SAS and storage status
- Edinburgh chamber has been dismantled and will be sent back -> Alu boxes in shelves + wooden box will be gone

HRS field control and measurement:
- Request from Marco Buzio TE/MSC to house a full 19" rack. Proposal in x-entrance 170 R-020 with cables trhough existing hole (if fits with Ar/N2 and AC tubes). Would require to move the two spare-parts EPC cupboards elsewhere. Discussed with Vincent Barozier. To be discussed at the ICL.
Separator Areas
- Acces planned tomorrow 18/03 for 3D and equipment removal to prepare future core drilling (new survey lines)
Target Area and BTY line work
- Section of the BTY line vacuum pipe in Front of the GPS Faraday cage will be removed by TE-MSC on Thursday (needed for shielding installation)
- Work preparation ongoing for BTY line disamantling. BHZ magnets don't fit through the current shielding door opening. Need to cut 10 cm of wall in the corner.
- Meeting next week: BTY Power converters consolidation - Work in Building 197. Review ECR and plan the work.
