Meeting

Letizia suggests a DSO & LEXGLIMOS meeting every three months and ad-hoc if necessary

EPMM

Letizia presented laboratories to EP Management Meeting (EPMM), but did not include feedback from LEXGLIMOS. She asks for feedback from LEXGLIMOS or points out they could participate to EPMM with Technical Coordinators. The EPMM takes places every two weeks and is a technical meeting (not physics; budget, safety, structure, …). By default no direct safety talk included.

Letizia will check with Marilyse if LEXGLIMOS have access to indico.

PPE memo

Memorandum for required PPE was updated; especially relevant for EP experimental areas such as EHN1. The EP Safety Office will keep track of PPE violations in EHN1, EHN2 and East Hall.

ATS document (see Letizia’s presentation) to be amended by memo/instructions for EP and, if agreed on by LEXGLIMOS, for small experiments. LEXGLIMOS will be informed, to be checked with TC if they follow EP memo/instructions or implement their own regulations.

Roberto raising point regarding ATS memo: Is this applied to contractors as well? If they do not follow, they would immediately have to go to HR, discussion with supervisor, etc. ATS seems to have filed the memo without considering RCS. Situation similar to crane/scaffolding memo.

Works and services supervisor training

Letizia will contact John and Olivier (HSE) to clarify scope of WSS training.

Unclear distinction for PCTS between technical stop and operation -> no difference for EP.

“Clarification on safety organisation in the Large Experiments at CERN” memo

Letizia will review the state of the memo and send it for feedback. The aim is to finalize the document with a memo before LS3.

Cryogenic authorisation

Cryo permit seen as unrealistic for small operations. The scope of “study the possibility of implmeenting cryopermits for all activities using cryogens” is not clear.

Letizia will ask TE how they handle permits if they have cryo permits for all activities (NA61 Vertex, etc.)

Insitute Safety Correspondent

Roberto points out that this was worked on with Christelle and presented to the DSOC, but no follow-up was done. He shares the slides with Letizia and Marcus.
