Description
The ISOLDE Solenoidal Spectrometer (ISS) is used to study transfer reactions in inverse kinematics with the high-energy beams delivered by the HIE-ISOLDE linac. ISS has completed five successful physics campaigns since it was fully commisssioned in 2021. This talk will provide an overview of the experiments performed, developments made since the 2023 HIE-ISOLDE workshop, and future plans for ISS following the long shutdown.
The neutron-rich Kr isotopes exhibit a much more gradual onset of deformation around $N~=~60$ than the neighbouring Sr and Zr isotopes, making them an important testing ground for understanding the underlying shell evolution in the neutron-rich $A~=~100$ region. The $^{92}$Kr$(d,p)$ transfer reaction performed with ISS in 2022 determined the spectroscopic facotr of the $\nu g_{7/2}$ orbital believed to play a key role in driving this deformation. Preliminary analysis of the complementary $^{94}$Kr$(d,p)$ reaction performed in 2025 and the $^{129}$Xe$(d,p)$ reaction will also be presented.
