Workshop on beam-related background characterization and detector optimization for the DAMSA dark sector particle search experiment using GEANT4 Monte Carlo simulations. Part of ongoing efforts to develop a table-top scale beam dump experiment targeting MeV-to-GeV mass axion-like particles at accelerator facilities.
