        Discussion at AGLT2 with Dell team yesterday

        • Willing and interested in providing a Facillty-wide deal on pricing
        • Requesting a fixed set of quotes to allow sites to choose from
          • Storage node 
          • Hypervisor host 
          • Hypervisor storage
          • Compute node ( 1U and chassis variant?)
          • perfSONAR node
          • Switches
            • Mgmt
            • Data
          • AGLT2 has example quotes and Dell will provide feedback on what is available, e.g., there are NO 16GB DIMMS available
          • Perhaps a focused group can take the lead on  the quote specifications ASAP (Fred, Philippe, ???)
          • Goal is to have the facility indicate the number of each that they would like to purchase

         

        We have yet to get the final summary of scrubbing decisions.  Last week's meeting had the Tier-2 scrubbing results but other L3 areas under WBS 2.3 are not yet reported.
