      - G7 in Evian: Internal border controls with France will be temporarily
reintroduced between 10 and 19 June 2026 and from Friday June 12 to Thursday 18, crossing the border between the Canton of Geneva and France will only be permitted at seven crossing points: Anières, Moillesulaz, Thônex-Vallard, Bardonnex, Perly, Meyrin, and Ferney-Voltaire.
      - CERN recommends full telework during the period of 12-18 June to be requested in the usual way (EDH), and to be authorised by your supervisor taking into account the exceptional circumstances and compatibility with the needs of the service.

      • Update on 275 electrical incident
      • Reminder of what to do
      • Soldering guidelines
Speakers: Hanne Heylen (CERN), Prof. Luis M Fraile (CERN)
      •  Update on incident in electronics workshop 275:
        • No additional victim came forward
        • Workshop remains closed for public, but can be accessed if properly ventilated
        • Chemicals need to be identified and workspace cleaned appropriately. Likely it was a contact adhesive (small tube), tube seemed relatively new so not so clear where it came from
      • Incident, accident, medical emergency: what should I do?

      • How many people interested in joining the wiring workshop? Proposed date: June 4th at 14:30pm, following group meeting (should we extend to Isolde-house the invite?)

Title: Nuclear charge radii of Thallium Isotopes and trends in the neutron deficient Lead region
      Speaker: Edward Matthews (CERN)
Abstract: The lead region is of particular interest in nuclear physics because of the proximity to Z=82 and N=126 magic numbers and the emergence of shape coexistence. Thallium (Z=81) is particularly valuable in this context: it enables the study of a single proton-hole configuration built on an otherwise magic lead core, and its isomeric states display shape coexistence that provide insight into the progression toward ground-state shape isomerism in mid-shell mercury and gold isotopes around N=104.
Using collinear laser spectroscopy, we measured nuclear mean-square charge radii, magnetic dipole moments, and electric quadrupole moments for 22 thallium isotopes and 13 isomers. These results will be presented and compared with analogous measurements in lead, and placed in the context of broader regional systematics to highlight their value for benchmarking theory.

Speakers: Annie Dolan, Carlotta Porzio (CERN), Hanne Heylen (CERN)
