P371 asked about the possibility of installing a moveable in/out scintillator mount in the proposed location. i.e. with compressed air. Laurie advised that the available space is small and no services will be available. Agreed to go for the static solution with the option to take it out at some planned intervention on a Wednesday, for example, halfway through the beam time, if it is found to be problematic. Anything big or with a support would require proper integration studies and would not be feasible in this timescale.

Philippe presented the drawings for the new pipe to be installed. P371 said they will make a new scintillator so the dimensions presented are anyway ok. Philippe will proceed with MME to manufacture the part for installation (with a blank on the port) in June in advance of the P371 beam time.

It was discussed to also have another alternative detector at the position of the beamline XSCI. Agreed, hanging something light on the cadre mauve would be ok.

Actions:
Laurie -> estimate scattering / beam loss from 6mm thick scintillator at 3.5 GeV/c upstream.
Laurie -> provide beam sizes at proposed scintillator location plus (from logs) beam size at XBPF.
Laurie -> give dimensions of cadre mauve to P371.
Laurie -> identify if P371 will be allowed to enter the zone at all.

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
