IT Storage group
- we don't have much contingency on disk capacity, please let us know in advance in case of any changes wrt what we discussed here
- summer tape recall plans: please let us know in advance for better coordination
- note that there are ongoing security patching campaigns in IT on various systems
- our understanding so far is that High Intensity Run at the end of Run3 won't produce a lot of additional data
ALICE
Alice won’t archive to tape during HI Run. Will delay archiving of 2025 data to save bandwidth during HI Run.
Currently 46PB free on EOS. Plan to delete ahead of HI Run.
Plans for tape recall during summer - no. First, archive the data collected during HI Run 2026.
ATLAS
EOS buffer can store up to 2 weeks of RAW data.
Plans for recall during summer - to be understood and confirmed.
Currently 11.6 PB free on EOS. Check if cleanup and any transfer to tape prior to HI run is needed.
CMS
Planned 12 GB/s average to tape.
Recall plans for summer: tbc.
Sending data to FNAL: can be flexibly scheduled over summer?
Currently EOS 20PB reserved for T0 activity. Quota assigned to groups could be adjusted if needed to make space.
LHCb
Same as last time. 9.2GB to tape.
No data during High Intensity Run.
Summer tape recalls to be planned.
Currently EOS free space: 25PB.
