The semiconductor industry is one of the important career paths for physics students. Key segments such as chip design, wafer fabrication, device development, packaging and testing, semiconductor equipment, materials processing, power devices, and memory chips are closely related to solid-state physics, semiconductor physics, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, optics, and materials physics.
In recent years, driven by the continued development of artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, new energy vehicles, data centers, and smart devices, the semiconductor industry has shown increasing demand for talent with strong mathematical foundations, experimental skills, and analytical capabilities.
