CIC portal replica Lyon-CNAF

We had a preliminary discussion with Pierre-Etienne of the Lyon DBA team.
Now we have to identify if there is one of the Oracle "data-replication" features that can be a good compromise in terms of efforts vs advantages.
At present we know about the existence of Oracle streams, Data Guard and materialized views.
Is one of them suitable for this use case?
Are there other possibilities?

SAM replication

Marcin (CYFRONET, Cracow, Poland) has volunteered to host a replication of SAM.
In CYFRONET there's already a SAM instance used for the regional Grid operations.

1) is it possible for CERN to help CYFRONET to have
better conditions for the upgrade of their Standard
Oracle to Enterprise?
Enterprise version has the needed features for data
replication.

2) after the starting analysis of SAM framework and
the discussion with Marcin, we have to identify
the proper approach for the replication of the
CERN SAM Oracle DB.
Points:
- the current approach for a 1st goal of replication (Alessandro)
- updates about SAM status and plans (Piotr)
- discussion about the approach and the Oracle aspects
