      Title: Modeling Two-Nucleon Emission in Lepton-Nucleus Scattering for Neutrino Oscillation Experiments

      Abstract: Precise measurements in modern neutrino oscillation experiments require an accurate description of neutrino–nucleus interactions. One of the main sources of uncertainty arises from multinucleon processes, in which the incoming lepton interacts with correlated nucleons inside the nucleus. These effects can significantly impact neutrino-energy reconstruction and therefore the extraction of oscillation parameters.
      Electron scattering provides an essential benchmark for testing nuclear models, since the electromagnetic interaction is well understood and high-precision experimental data are available. In particular, exclusive ((e,e'p)) reactions offer direct access to nuclear spectral functions, missing-energy distributions, and nucleon–nucleon correlations.
      This seminar will introduce the theoretical framework for lepton–nucleus scattering, including the impulse approximation, spectral functions, and short-range correlations. A Monte Carlo event generator developed to study one- and two-nucleon emission channels will be presented. The simulation explores the available phase space and studys different kinematics, with the aim of comparing the simulated results with experimental data. The ultimate goal is to contribute to improved nuclear models for future neutrino oscillation experiments.
