Higgs boson mass bounds in the presence of a strongly coupled fourth generation

Description
I present results from a lattice study of the Higgs-Yukawa sector of the standard model without gauge fields at large Yukawa coupling. Crucial to the definition of the model, our lattice discretization respects an exact chiral symmetry at finite lattice spacing. Such a model admits large fermion masses and may be relevant for BSM phenomenology with a heavy fourth generation. In particular, we examine the triviality and vacuum instability bounds on the Higgs boson mass for a range of fermion masses and cutoffs, and compare with perturbative predictions. Recent results on the finite temperature phase transition are also discussed.
