Summary of Actions :

  1. Measuring the blocks at the mezzanine exit, completing the mezzanine assembly, and
    improving the readability of figures in the documentation. Yann/Elsa
  2. Separate floor-space occupancy from rack and stack storage indicators. Alexandre
  3. Evaluate the use of the south-west access doors of Building 954 in view of future
    access  constraints around BA80 and Building 954. Cédric/Elsa
  4. Coordinate with SCE, RP and THE to characterize and assess the cartridges stored in
    Building 954, identify those that can be removed, and free space for the six activated
    cartridges arriving from the SPS North Area before LS3. Cédric/Elsa
  5. The refuge area must be clearly indicated in Cédric’s B954 layout presentation for Q1/Q2
    2027. Cédric
  6. Lifting beam: provide a status update at the next meeting on 25 June. Julien
  7. Updated Measurement List: supervised areas Elsa will check whether the “noun-found”
    items still exist within the buildings.

      General news

      NA CONS waste TF 02/07 - EA Equipment-specific radioactive waste (BE-EA part 1)
      BE-EA equipment declared as radioactive waste (part 1):
      - TCC2 XTAX (tables + absorbers + slabs)
      - T2 VXSS (+ supports)
      - XTCX (T6, P42, K12)
      Action Cedric: check requests in the Storage SP.

      Access to B954 - Visit on 25/06
      Present on site were: Elsa, Cedric, Sylvain, Fabien, Thomas, Fabrice and Yacine.
      Access to the back door of B.954 will require some works in order to usable for trucks and heavy loads. This may not be compatible with current planning and level of preparation.
      We discussed the delivery schedule of the LHC equipment to B.954 starting already in August (13 large magnets + CMS inner tracker part) until end of the year, with expected peak in October. About 60 heavy items are expected to be delivered during this period for which we need to guaranty access.
      ACtion: Cedric is to provide the detailed schedule of these deliveries such that they can be incorporated in the NA-CONS schedule by @Xavier Palle Lopezand their impact on the already planned surface activities assessed properly.
      Cedric is to incorporate the project coordination team + transport WPL in the distribution list when making the transport request to B.954.

      Management and transfer of demineralized water resin cartridges stored in Building 954 (CERN).
      Storage, radiological assessment, and transfer of demineralized water resin cartridges currently stored in Building 954. Several CERN groups (TE-DPS, EN-CV, RP, SCE, etc.) are coordinating the work.
      * Current inventory
      * Approximately 95 resin cartridges are stored in Building 954.
      * A detailed inventory has been provided, listing:
      * FIEC/TREC identification number,
      * volume (mainly 200 L, some 60 L and 50 L),
      * last movement date,
      * current location (954),
      * four cartridges marked with "X" as immediate candidates for emptying at Building 378.
      ==> Before any transfer, Radiological Protection (RP) measurements are required. RP measurements will determine:
      * the storage zone,
      * whether cartridges can be transferred,
      * which cartridges are suitable for movement to Building 378.
      * Transfer objective
      * EN-CV needs to free space for 6 activated cartridges arriving from SPS/North Area.
      * Existing cartridges in Building 954 should be measured and, where possible, removed to create space (B378).

      Update of the requests and update of layouts

      Meeting 26/06 be-aa components
      The following modifications have been incorporated:
      * ID268 has been optimized, with its required storage area reduced from 12 m² to 8 m².
      * ID325 has been increased to 21 m² to comply with the hook height clearance of the B954 overhead crane (equipment stored on the bunker).
      * For ID341, the storage layout has been updated to accommodate three items instead of one. The reserved area remains 1 m²; however, the B954 layout has been updated to include all three supports in the 2D drawing.
      * ID433 is now integrated into the racks.
      * ID321 is now stored in B954 (the ISR information was previously incorrect) and has been assigned to the rack on two Euro pallets.
      * IDs 317 and 318 are now stored in B954 (the ISR information was previously incorrect) and have been positioned next to the rack.
      * ID315 has been increased from 12 m² to 14 m², with no impact on its integration.
      The SP and the B954 integration layout have been updated to reflect all of these changes.

      B955 - Update on dismantling of the mezzanine and roof consolidation

      01/07 - B955 roof consolidation
      Antoine Prost reports that during a visit to Building 955, he observed that part of the roof is deteriorating and allowing water infiltration.The leaks have already caused damage to equipment stored underneath, as shown in the attached photos.
      Action Cedric/Elsa: the reorganization of the SEPTA storage in Building 955.

      Based on the observed damage, the roof refurbishment is imperative to stop the leaks and prevent further deterioration.Action Lisa and Elsa to launch the repair action as a top priority.

      Status of the support structures

      Mail from C. Baud on 01/07
      Suite à la dernière réunion, nous avons voulu vérifier le point concernant le dégagement des vis sur le réglage du pied coté amont faisceau (pied simple), avec la possible interaction avec votre support lors de la manutention.

      Et malheureusement, il y a un risque. En effet, après une visite au 955 des équipements existants, les vis de réglages ne sont pas centrées sur le support. De plus, certains équipements ne sont pas assemblés avec des vis sans tête, ce qui limitent encore le dégagement. Et si on inclut le jeu au niveau des brides, il y a risque d'interaction.

      Le problème est situé principalement sur le châssis MSE_MST.
