ECOI open weekly

Quick notes:
Dietrich's D* proposal is a good starting point for a wider conversation with Master Class experts at the upcoming IPPOG meeting (Nov 9 to 11). Sathwik and Claire will follow up the technical aspects as long as Dietrich is at CERN (all of october) . Obviously, a lot of FCC-PED "story telling" will also have to be developped around it, and this will be one of the upcoming ECOI tasks.
Reza presented a wide spectrum of possibilities for the Open Days, from which PED specific deliverables will have to emerge and become concrete. We liked the idea to propose a "PED specific booth" where the public interested in the science aspects of the project could meet enthusiastic physicists. Obviously, the location of such a stand could be the mockup vicinity, but this will be decided later and the booth may not even exist in the end. Having the concept will help us, though, to design what should be found on the table and may endup being used elsewhere as well. Out of the possibilites discussed by Reza we liked the idea of written material, jigsaw puzzles and to get closer to IdeaSquare for proto-typing of PED specific items. The up-coming Idea-Square workshop may be an opportunity to continue the discussion within PED.
At the end of the meeting Matthew Chalmers confirmed that an exhibit featuring HL-LHC and FCC (as future of CERN) will open in the Globe in October 2026, for few months. The feedback received will be integrated in the design of a future Gateway permament exhibition (replacing the current quantum sector)
