For the third episode of From Colliders to Careers, we welcome Dr. Felix Böhmer, former FSP-ALICE researcher at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and University of Bonn and now Director AI & Analytics at iteratec in Munich.

After transitioning from particle physics to industry in 2016, Felix has built a successful career at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital transformation. In his talk, he will reflect on his journey from academia to the private sector, discuss how skills developed in fundamental research translate into industry, and share insights into leading AI and analytics projects in a fast-moving technological environment.

What does it take to successfully transition from particle physics to industry? Which competencies are most valuable outside academia, and how can researchers prepare for careers in AI, data science, and technology consulting? Felix will share personal experiences, practical advice, and lessons learned from nearly a decade in industry. The session will conclude with an open Q&A and live graphical recording of the discussion, capturing key ideas and takeaways in real time.
