      Preparazione Test-Beam di Luglio 40m

      ————————————————————————————

      Preparation of the July Test-Beam - July 15 - August 3

Transport of the setup to the H4 area, foreseen on July 14

      Trigger/DAQ

      - n.2 10x10 cm2 scintillators - are available? Need to be transported form Roma Tre ? Si

      - SRS system (is in place)

      - FECs and CTF ? at least 2 FECs and 1 CTS

      - Computers? We need both, one in the area and one in control-room remotely connected downstairs.

      - NIM CRATE for the trigger -moduli coinc dual timer ...

      - APV: Need at least two complete FECs (16 Masters - 16 slaves) -- portare APV da Roma3

      Setup and Detectors:

      - Setup installed in the large frame used for large 50x40 chambers

      • n.2 trackers: are both Naples TMM functional? Is one TMM from Roma3 needed? (2+2 connectors)
        • --max HV 460 in ArCF4 Iso 88/10/2
        • Portare una TMM da RM3
        •
      •  n.1 TMM-TPC in the center (it is basically replacing the TMM we had last November
      •
      •

       1 double readout Paddy400 in face-to-face configuration

      - new frame 22 mm, new drift cathodes, special nuts for their fixation, spacers, etc ALL from RM3

      - 2 single readout new Paddy400 from ELTOS (one already in the setup - the second coming this week)

      - HEX1 with larger drift gap --> 1 cm

      - GEM from Roma3 …in second priority

(need in principle Ar/CO2 70/30, different gas distribution? different fixing frames, different HV, … to be seen on site - maybe can use our standard gas?)

      APV

TOT n. of APV in MINIMAL Configuration:

      - Trackers: 8

      - Paddy400: 4 readout x 4 APV: 16

      - IF we need to extend the readout are we probably have to rotate the readout APV on the paddy400

      - TMM-TPC: 4

      - HEX1: 1 master

      - GEM: 4

TOTAL: 33 - …with 32 we can manage with a plan of prioritisation - (OR: add a third FEC enabling also larger area of Paddy400 readout)

      GAS:

      - need both:

      - Ar/CO2/Iso 93/5/2

      - Ar/CF4/Iso 88/10/2 (I bought one bottle in November. Should be available!)

      - A/CO2 70/30 if available in the area for the GEM or ….to be seen

      POWER SUPPLY:

      - We can use a mainframe that is in GDD LAB

      - currently with 2 negative modules: A1821HN and A1821N

      - Need to find one module POSITIVE --> epool  A1821P

        - IDEALLY we should use modules with high sensitivity on currents (1 nA ? )

      - Readout with GRAPHANA ?

      - HV Channels for scintillators

      - HV for the GEM - need just one channel up to 5 kV

      TOOLING BOX

…and for the tooling box, don’t forget:

      - Oscilloscope

      - multimeter

      - tooling box (hexagonal keys, screwdrivers for crate screws, cable ties, tapes, …)

      - cables, gas tubes, gas connectors, filters, etc…

      - GROUNDING COPPER BRADE

      - screwdrivers for threshold adjustment ;-)

       …whatelse?
