Description
grid-operations-meeting@cern.ch
Weekly OSG, EGEE, WLCG infrastructure coordination meeting.
We discuss the weekly running of the production grid infrastructure based on weekly reports from the attendees. The reported issues are discussed, assigned to the relevant teams, followed up and escalated when needed. The meeting is also the forum for the sites to get a summary of the weekly WLCG activities and plans
Attendees:
• OSG operations team
• EGEE operations team
• EGEE ROC managers
• WLCG coordination representatives
• WLCG Tier-1 representatives
• other site representatives (optional)
• GGUS representatives
• VO representatives
• To dial in to the conference:

• Tier 1 reports
more information
• WLCG issues coming from ROC reports
1. From UKI ROC: Are the LHC experiments committed to using the PPS? Does each experiment have a defined contact who will help other users in the VO access the PPS for testing? Is experiment software (going to be) installed on PPS sites?

• WLCG Service Interventions (with dates / times where known)
Link to CIC Portal (broadcasts/news), scheduled downtimes (GOCDB) and CERN IT Status Board

See also this weekly summary of past / upcoming interventions at WLCG Tier0 and Tier1 sites (extracted manually from EGEE broadcasts and other sources).

1. FTS service upgrade at CERN foreseen for Monday 18th June (TBC)
2. CASTOR upgrades for C2PUBLIC (June 12 9:00 - 18:00), C2ATLAS (June 13 08:00 - 18:00) - C2CMS, C2LHCB later, later still :-)

Time at WLCG T0 and T1 sites.

• FTS service review

Speaker: Gavin McCance (CERN)
• ATLAS service
Speaker: Kors Bos (CERN / NIKHEF)
• CMS service
Speaker: Mr Daniele Bonacorsi (CNAF-INFN BOLOGNA, ITALY)
• LHCb service
• GRIDKA

Clean up requests and tranfer problems. We need the site to clean up the disk space asap. We temporary banned disk endpoint from the LHCb list ofSE used in transfer activity.

GGUS ticket have been also open. Still GRIDKA should also fix the problem with shared area and software installation. GGUS ticket open by Joel Closier, we are awaiting for news.

• gLite WMS

LHCb will not use gLite WMSes until a workable version of m/w (namely the 3.1 passing the Atlas acceptance tests on April) is deployed everywhere. The one installed on the LHCb CERN instances is absolutely unstable with known problems fixed in the subsequent TAG released two months ago.

• EGEE BROADCAST

LHCb feel the EGEE BROADCAST tool fpr announcements of Scheduled Intervention or Site Unavailability very efficient but conversely, site admins should also use it for announcing the intervervention is over; LHCb, until further notice, will keep banning off every site claimed to be in SD.

Speaker: Dr roberto santinelli (CERN/IT/GD)
• ALICE service
Speaker: Dr Patricia Mendez Lorenzo (CERN IT/GD)
