In this talk we discuss technical aspects of the problem of computing Minkowskian correlators, from which we can access scattering amplitudes and decay rates, starting from Euclidean correlators, which we compute in lattice simulations. The bridge is provided by the spectral function of the Källén–Lehmann representation, and we discuss how to compute this quantity on the lattice. The problem is delicate and we focus this talk on how to deal with its systematic error, whether we can estimate it reliably, or whether we can avoid it completely using bounding inequalities.
