• decabling:
  • overall went well (2 bins full removed) with small cut caused in vacuum PLC -> Abel identified a blown fuse which was replaced and PLC came back with this 
  • Second round of decabling dates proposal: week 50 (Dec 7-11) -> OK?
• Resin and painting ongoing
  • Platform resin started on Friday
  • This week will also cover the GLM area
• Vac pipe removal ECR approval date extended to Oct 23rd
  • EDMS 3479995 - Rerouting of ISOLDE exhaust line 
• shielding installation in the week of 9th November: would arrive the week before to be out in the SAS (Thu/Fri) ok?

Ongoing/planned

• LHe-fill ISOLTRAP tomorrow (Wed. 21/10)
• COLLAPS: continue working on ion source in 508 and 170
• CRIS:
  • Cleaning week: first 2 weeks of November
  • Coordination of storage needs ongoing
  • Contacted RP for removal of RP monitors
  • Distribution boxes to be removed by EN/EL -> contact James Devine
  • Will need container for cables (1 unused one by RILIS) and one for electronics
• GLM:
  • Next week: Juliana's team will place some experimental equiment temporarily
• GHM:
  • Guilherme is around second week of November -> inquired about vacuum valve which needs replacement
• Vacuum exhaust for experiment setup: meeting with Guillermo
  • Proposal is to install check valves (~200 CHF each) for each primary pump of the experimental setups

Last week:

• VITO RF-line - two steel plates remachined following a design correction. Several setups were needed due to the plate size.

 

• Building 275 - wooden room enclosure dismantled and removed to free up space.

 

• COLLAPS - Aluminium flange and two stainless-steel screws turned down to fit the assembly.

 

• VITO - central 8 mm hole drilled in a stainless-steel KF-25 flange.

 

Development and follow-up:

• 508 mechanical workshop - layout concept developed, including equipment positions, storage and power

  • Offer recieved for upgrading machine park - to be discussed 

  • Offer for moving cable trays and new power sockets, waiting for on site meeting.

• Building 170 sign - design and mounting details developed; manufacturing files and drawings updated to 304 stainless steel.

  • Sign quotation - Xometry offer reviewed: EUR 2,691.51 including freight and pressure plates.
  • concept for 179 in work.

• Removal of 508 ramp starting 26/10
  • No vehicle access -> reminder will be sent
• Dosimeters for visits: last week, at a moment, we didn't have enough dosimeters since they were used in the separator zones
  • Needs to be confirmed by visits coordination if any visits are planned, ideally, these dosimeters are reserved for visits.
