Scientific motivation
Here Comes the Sun will take place at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), 13–15 January 2027, bringing together experts in solar physics, neutrino physics and detector development to discuss the next generation of solar-neutrino experiments.
The workshop will explore how precision solar-neutrino measurements, combined with helioseismology, can deepen our understanding of the solar interior and drive new discoveries in solar and fundamental physics. Particular emphasis will be placed on new concepts for detecting neutrinos from the Sun and on overcoming the experimental challenges that currently limit their scientific potential.
No fee will be charged to participants. A maximum of 30 participants will be accepted. Lunches and coffee breaks will be included. The social programme will include a visit to the Teide Observatory.
Venue
The workshop will take place in the headquarters of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, in La Laguna Tenerife.
