Description
After the extended shutdown of 2005/6 there has been extensive work on the PS Ring,
which will require some special start-up and testing.
Mentioned will be the changes to the layout of elements in the straight sections,
the main magnet units which have been revised and the auxiliary magnets which after
many years of disuse have finally been purged from the machine.
I shall present the tests to be done and the planning of the test period, with
special mention of the MPS tests and how we will arrange the tests around EJP.
The Kickers, Bumpers and Septa tests will also be included as well as the bake-outs
required.
The tunnel access conditions required for the test and how we shall do tunnel
sharing for the remaining outstanding installation work. The modifications to the
TT2 line and the tests required.
