Present:            L. Scibile, Ch. Schaefer, L. Leistam, A. Chouvelon, F. Butin, D. Swoboda, S. Grau, M. Streit-Bianchi, B. Chauchaix, A. Smith, E. Thomas, E. Tsesmelis.

Agenda
1)      Follow-up from meeting 15th May 2007 (D.Swoboda),
2)      Access leaflet and training for users (M. Streit-Bianci)
3)      Progress and planning of LACS/LASS installation (L. Scibile)
4)      A.o.B

The slides of the presentations are available at: http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=18556.
1.      Follow up from meeting 15th of May 2007
The following items were discussed during the meeting:

ACTION ITEMs
resp.
status
Budget for non interlocked areas access control system.
L. Scibile
Budget accepted.
However, it is to be clarified the access system features for the non interlocked areas (equipment as for interlocked areas?, counting of people issues, etc.).
Define the number of cards required per Experiment
Experiments
LHCb = 500.
Pending answer from the other Experiments.
Define the upper limit of persons per area and per Experiment
Experiments
Pending answer from the Experiments.
Pressurised areas in ATLAS and CMS.
C. Schaefer
Pending design proposal from C. Schaefer.
C. Schaefer mentions that in the ATLAS and CMS pressurised areas there should be no equipment installed (including access equipment for access points).

Find attached to these minutes (annex) a copy of the clarification given by SC/GS on this issue, outside the meeting.
2.      Access leaflet and training for users
Two levels of courses are foreseen, one for “Everybody” and another for “SLIMOS-GLIMOS-DSO”. It needs to be seen if a more specific training is required for the DSO.
It was proposed that all experiments should have trained radiation “experts” qualified to handle basic radiation issues for their area.

Sanctions in case of not respecting the access procedures are to be defined by the Experiments.
3.      Progress and planning of LACS/LASS installation
Planning priorities are given to Point 7 followed by Point 1, TI2 and TI8.
The Injection test of TI2, foreseen for the 7th of October 2007, is a main milestone.
LHC Point 5 is postponed to after the summer due to CMS cabling availability.
The commissioning of the full system is planned for two weeks ending after the 1st week of January 2008.
It shall be noted that doors can still be put “off-line” after the commissioning campaign.

By the end of March 2008 the access system should be switched to “NORMAL OPERATION”.

Subject: situation of pressurized areas

Detlef,

Alain”
