Site status review and issues 20m
      - Accounting - These sites have accounting issues -- cpDIAsie; csTCDie (Nov); mpUCDie -- EFDA-JET (late Nov); BRIS-HEP; OX-HEP - Monitoring status -- RAL-PPD - WLCG MB tracking -- Checkout the WLCG Tier-2 reliability report for November: http://tinyurl.com/25zxkw -- "Note that the average reliability of all federations except those not yet fully integrated into the Site Availability Measurement system (USA, Nordic region, Pakistan, Ukraine, India-TIFR) was 83% in November compared with 82% in October. The target in the MoU for a Tier-2 is 95% and 11 of the federations have already exceeded this. The trend is therefore in the right direction but there is some way to go for some of the federations - 9 were below 75% reliability in November. The Tier-2s are where the end-user analysis will take place and so it is very important that all of the federations are operating reliably when the accelerator starts next year. The WLCG Management Board has therefore decided that we should begin to investigate the problems that are being experienced by federations to see what can be done to improve reliability. We will start by asking those federations below the 75% level to provide a short report outlining their problems and their approach to resolving them. This process has been adopted for some time for all of the Tier-1s, which provide such a report each month. The federations involved will receive in the next few days an email asking them to report on the problems in November." - Note the new service view: http://lcg-sam.cern.ch:8080/reports/t2/site_avail.xsql (not working yet??) - Steve's tests - Replica (13.0.30) -- Edinburgh -- Lancaster -- UCL-CENTRAL; QMUL (nb. poor utilisation) - Release: -- Cambridge; Birmingham - Site concerns? - What's going on with cfengine at sites!

Current experiment/VO activities and issues 5m
      - ATLAS -- Held a (Tier-1) jamboree at CERN last week (http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=23620) -- Production has moved to Panda -- Check here for the RAL cloud status: http://tinyurl.com/2arv3s --- Job efficiency problems apparent for RHUL; DURHAM; CAM; BHAM -- Check here for data distribution: http://tinyurl.com/2psk5t --- Transfer problems for everyone? - CMS -- Held a RAL Tier-1 visit last Friday: http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=22161 -- Focus was again (like the ATLAS visit) on CASTOR. -- Some concerns about UK T2 efficiency but due to T1 factors, insufficient work AND experiment software not being installed -- Questions asked about LT2 use of QMUL and UCL (pledged but not seen to be active) - Current job success rates: https://cmsweb.cern.ch/prod-mon/quality_map_query - LHCb -- Data migration at the Tier-1 - Regional VOs -- vo.scotgrid.ac.uk and vo.northgrid.ac.uk now active in EGEE - Other such as biomed -- Several new requests (in addition to supernemo, gridpp and ngs.ac.uk) -- OAG representives have validated the registration request for vo.gear.cern.ch. Information about this VO is now available on the CIC Operations Portal, in the VO management section (https://cic.gridops.org/index.php?section=vo) - This is a general VO and as part of EGEE we are encouraged to support it. -- OAG representives have changed the scope of the crypto.swing-grid.ch VO. This VO is now classified under the 'Global' scope (was ''). Information about this VO is available on the CIC Operations Portal, in the VO management section (https://cic.gridops.org/index.php?section=vo). - This is related to the rsa work. The correct procedure is now being followed and the GridPP PMB therefore encourage support of this VO.

      Recent GDB/MB/DTEAM discussions 10m
GDB: There was a GDB last week (http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=8508) - Focus was on monitoring. There is still a desire to have sites try the Nagios feeds following grid service monitoring (ref: Ian Neilson's HEPSYSMAN talk in October - http://hepwww.rl.ac.uk/SYSMAN/oct2007/agenda.html) - Some discussion on reliability workshop outcomes (held the week before) - main points covers in Jamie Shiers' paper http://tinyurl.com/ywx6v7. - Short report on HEPiX. The membership is now expanding with groups like those from Genomics interested. Michel Jouvin is now the European chair. Next meeting 5th-9th May at CERN: http://www.hepix.org. - Pilot jobs - still looking for volunteers to test glexec with batch systems (also looking for testers for job priority working group prototype). WLCG management board -- Main focus has been the pledges to 2012 which were due at the end of November -- Experiment specific SAM tests -- HEP benchmarking - moving on from KSI2K -- CCRC (Common Computing Readiness Challenge) preparations are ongoing. What needs to be in place... timelines etc. Main thing for T2s to be concerned about is having SRMv2.2 available and stable. DTEAM -- "Areas that DTEAM could benefit from more Tier-1 input " - result of recent GridPP Tier-1 reviews. Many areas that could be covered:CEs; dCache; CASTOR; WMS; FTS; RB's; MON box; R-GMA; monitoring; SRB; Information system; LSF; storage services; machine room management; security; Oracle -- Following up on tickets -- Feedback on incident response procedure (simple form): http://www.gridpp.ac.uk/deployment/security/inchand/index.html -- Ops meeting news

Areas where more support is needed 10m
      - Following on from DTEAM discussion. Are there areas where sites particularly would like more support? - Tier-1 service planning: what do Tier-2s need to know? - Would a Tier-1 blog be useful?

      Regional planning 10m
      - Plans for deployment of gLite-WMS -- Now service at T1 - what is happening in Ireland; UK Tier-2s? - Implementing regional LFCs - Use of regional VOs - Joining the NGS (recent progress and next steps) - Next major concerns (64 bit; Xen etc.)
