Summary

The Intensity Frontier experiments use ROOT in various areas and we will describe various use cases focusing in particular on MINERvA. MINERvA is a neutrino scattering experiment which uses the NuMI beamline at Fermilab and seeks to measure low energy neutrino interactions both in support
of neutrino oscillation experiments and also to study the strong dynamics of the nucleon and nucleus that affect these interactions. MINERvA uses ROOT in their online system and their physics analysis group has written a new histogram class that extends ROOT's classes with some really nice features for calculating and displaying uncertainties.
