RCTF (31st October 2007) ================ Present: Joao Fernandes (JF); Knut Bjorkli (KB); Frederic Chapron (FC); Steve Goldfarb (SG); Thomas Baron (TB); Lucas Taylor (LT); Unknown Person http://indico.cern.ch/event/19124 - Next meeting date: to be decided SB and LT received very well the news about the refurbishment agreement with Tandberg LT specially thanks the AVC service (Knut in particular) for the effort in place for Ray Orbach's event All the present people were very happy with the fact that the AVC team has been reinforced with 2 engineers. The prototype of the GREY/GREEN/RED button has been well received by the experiments. The wish is to have it in production as soon as possible.

o Services - Recruitement of 2 engineers: Joao Fernandes (started 1st October) - Jose Benito Gonzales Lopez (to start 1st December) - soon 2 audiovisual operators o Videoconference - VIP videconference: Ray Orbach, US Secretary of Science speaking from FNAL - Telepresence demo at Cisco Switzerland - Room Refurbishment status (with some progress): - 40-S2-A01 (acoustic measurement bid) - CMS Centre (AB auditorium and 354-1-016, bid for equipment) - ATLAS SCX1 (last iteration in what to install and final configuration of the room) - Problems in 40-RB-10: Tandberg unit needed replacement - Some last issues in 40-4C: audio will improve by replacement of the ceiling mike by standard table 360 deg fixed mikes - ALL Tandbergs are now set to reboot and force settings at 2am everyday - EVO Tutorials for CMS and ATLAS - Remote lectures to University of Texas (Joe Izen) and Indiana University (Harold Ogren), using the remote lecturing facilities in 3-R-002 o Indico - Timezone aware Indico on test - Internationalisation o Digital signage
