CERN has now entered a mode of continuous operation of the LHC, of its injectors and of the systems that are supporting their operation. Getting maintenance right is now primordial for reaching even higher availabilities and the best possible quality of service. There is today a need to deploy new strategies to the equipment groups and to further develop the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) modules that are in use at CERN. The seminar will outline the different efforts, assessments and audits that have been carried out within the Maintenance Management Project (MMP) across several departments and which resulted in the creation of the Maintenance Framework Implementation Office (MFIO). The concept, organization and tasks of the MFIO will be presented and explained in detail along with the latest developments of the CMMS tools.
Coffee / tea will be served after the seminar
