Announcements: 1. ETICS II proposal got pretty high evaluation rate. 2. 21-23 November ETICS all-hands meeting at CERN. Goals: a. Close the project, prepare a demo for review at beginning of February. b. Prepare transition for ETICS II 3. Microsoft might give supports to hire a technical student for 6 month to port ETICS client to Windows. Not confirmed yet. It might be part of a bigger program where MS wants to port Grid-middleware to Windows. 4. ETICS team party - end of November, beginning of December. To by confirmed by Meb. Work status: WP2/Marian - Deploying new NMI with security fixes. - Preparation to release 1.3.0, build of etics_branch_1_3_0 failed last time. - Etics-test.cern.ch might be not available for 1-2 hours as it used for testing system release. - By Friday next week, Condor on CERN side will be updated to support co-scheduling. - Virtualization on SL4, Debian – ready for root enabled running. - Preparing presentation EPICS-2007 – “ETICS and virtualization” - Update expired certificates - some of gLite builds are delayed due to that. WP3/Guillermo - There is a script to update database from 1.2 to 1.3 - WS update: it uses new NMI submission file send by Marian – to be confirmed if the file is still 100% fine. - New WS deployed on etics-test, it is being tested. - Testing new web-client if works fine with new WS (some bugs found and submitted to Paolo). WP3/Alberto - CLI is ready, it is being tested (some bugs found). - Update CLI to use user properties for locked configuration when building locally. WP5/Lorenzo - New repository will be installed in parallel with the AFS repository – it is already installed in etics-test.cern.ch, deployed on etics-dev2.cern.ch. - Web-application is available, just few trivial updates needed. WP5/Meb - Web-client with many fixes has a valid configuration etics-portal-web-application_B_1_3_0 - Documentation for web-client will be available Thursday next week. - Going through web-client bugs/problems list. - The main page with project list – should we keep it? NO as Tomasz will add a welcome page. WP5/Tomasz - Web-portal, web-commons, myetics-portlet with user submissions, request form for a new external component connected to the etics_branch_1_3_0, deployed on etics-test.cern.ch - Add a home page with an icon and a description of every tab. .
