EGEE/gLite training course for grid users and system administrators

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The event consisted of a 3 days long grid user course and a 2 days long grid system administrator course. The training was organized for the grid research community in Malaysia and washosted by MIMOS Berhad institute in Kuala Lumpur.

Attendees learnt how to apply gLite and related software tools to create and operate grids, grid based Virtual Organizations and how to develop and execute grid applications on such architectures. Participants should be familiar with editing UNIX commands and text files.

37 EGEE application case studies

Prsentation of two applications running on the EGEE infrastructure. The applications build onto the middleware services of gLite and extending them with higher level capabilities such as parameter study job scheduling, data management, advanced user interfaces. The case studies are contributions of the EGEE NA4 activity.
