Regge theory relates high energy behaviour of scattering amplitudes
with the mass spectrum of spinning particles (or resonances). We shall
start by reviewing the standard argument in an explicit example from
flat space string theory. This example will guide us in the
generalization of Regge theory to conformal invariant four-point
functions, using the intuition from string scattering in Anti-de
Sitter spacetime and the AdS/CFT correspondence.
We will then apply this Conformal Regge Theory to N=4 Super Yang-Mills
theory and obtain new predictions for 3pt-functions involving one
leading twist operator and two chiral primaries. We shall conclude
with a discussion of open questions and their implications.
