Recent contributions to the evaluation of B \to X_s \gamma and B_s \to
mu^+ mu^- branching ratios at the next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD
will be described. They include matching calculations at the electroweak
scale, as well as matrix element determination at the low energy scale. An
update of the SM prediction for BR(B \to X_s \gamma) will be presented.
