In any case this funding only can be used for research and development and not for production.
Irrespective of funding request outcome Wigner institute wants to design and build the prototype of the radiation tolerant common read-out unit (CRU). Concerning the production of the CRU it was discussed that a tender procedure is required. Whether Wigner institute also will be able to organize and follow production and mass testing and long-term maintainance need to be clarified within the institute and will be communicated once the information is known.
The man power available for the work at Wigner is: Ervin, Tivador, Gyorgy, +1 engineer, not 100 % of their time (ie 50% Tivadar).
The LS1 TPC consolidation is not part of Wigner institute work, only CERNTEC is involved presently.

Collaborators from India want to join the development, construction and testing process with several engineers. Funding can be made available also for material and production under the condition that it is produced in India.
