Axel Naumann (CERN)
Root Planning Meeting, August the 28th
Present: the root team, Andreas, Marco Clemencic, Pere, Valeri, Peter, John Harvey

A short meeting: 30 minutes in total

Actions:
o Danilo: follow up the template parameters issues in genreflex (jira item: https://sft.its.cern.ch/jira/browse/ROOT-5442)
o Danilo: file a jira item with a reproducer of the crash of Genconf: https://sft.its.cern.ch/jira/browse/ROOT-5446

Axel:
o Pere (about the slides presented by Axel): how will the renormalisation of paths of headers will affect the experiments? An idea could be to remove the paths marked to the "-I" options.

Marco:
o Plugin manager: merged changes by sebastien to take into account the ATLAS usecase. It seems to be final. No problem in LHCb so far using ROOT5, waiting for ATLAS.

Peter:
o Re-started Geometry fix campaign. In one week we will have the fix.
o 3 weeks ago: all detectors working using ROOT6. For next week the analysis will be put in place. Next is HLT: there it can be tricky (usage of CINT calls in the past).

Valeri:
o Investigating effect of changes on Atlas nightlies
o Link available to check status: http://atlas-computing.web.cern.ch/atlas-computing/links/distDirectory/nightlies/global/indexMIG6.html

Marco (LHCb):
o LHCb-no_reflex builds for 5
o For 6: problem in genconf
http://lcgapp.cern.ch/spi/aaLibrarian/nightlies/x86_64-slc6-gcc48-opt/test.Wed_GAUDI_no_reflex-x86_64-slc6-gcc48-opt-log.html#line_10462 (see actions)

Bill:
o TCallFunc: Paul looking in the last failing tests
o TEnum: needed. Maybe not worth backporting in ROOT5 but just try out ROOT6

Fons Wrap up:
o Next meeting will be more extended, with a review of the Jira items for ROOT version 6.00.00-beta, aka the "November Release"
