The identification of c quarks is gaining interest recently, both in the context of precision measurements, as well as for searches for undiscovered particles. In this presentation, we will discuss discrimination techniques used by the CMS and ATLAS collaborations. We will present the charged D-meson reconstruction employed in the CMS W+c analyses, as well as inclusive jet flavor identification used in various searches. Finally, we will give an outlook for future c-jet taggers in both experiments.
