Safety is one of our core values at SLAC, and security is equally important to our mission success. To ensure we stay continuously focused on safety and security, all employees are asked to attend the annual Safety and Security Fair on Thursday, Oct. 10.
This year, there will be a single session of presentations from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Kavli Auditorium where seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. These presentations will also be broadcast via a live stream that you can watch from your computer or with coworkers. Topics will include an update on the Arrillaga Recreation Center, cyber safety, counterintelligence and counterterrorism, security and sustainability, the lessons learned program and zero waste at SLAC.
Following the presentations, we invite you to visit booths to claim free souvenirs and gather information on bicycle safety, ergonomics and ladder safety, among other areas. Also, the Occupational Health Center will administer seasonal flu vaccinations. Booths will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot southwest of Building 280C.
