A new concept for supersymmetric gauge theories will be introduced - the Master Space.
It is well known that the moduli space of vacua for a supersymmetric gauge theory is given by the set of fields subject to F term and D term conditions. This moduli space is sometimes hard to compute - in particular when the number of fields and conditions is large. The master space is a somewhat simpler notion which involves the solution to the F term equations and to a subset of the D term equations. A typical example which arises in quiver gauge theories is the master space which is given by a solution to the F terms and the non-Abelian D terms but not to the Abelian D terms. This space has a great significance since it contains
information about the baryonic moduli spaces in such theories. I will present the concept and several examples to illustrate the ideas.
